Jat body to oppose BJP in civic polls

HISAR: All India (AIJASS) has decided to oppose Bharatiya Janata Party‘s () candidates in the municipal corporation elections.

The decision was taken by the AIJASS on Saturday during a meeting organized at Jat Dharamsala of Hansi. The meeting was convened for the preparation of a day-long demonstration at New Delhi in the leadership of Samiti president Yash Pal Malik on December 21.

Samiti spokesperson Ram Bhagat Malik and state president Mahendra Poonia said that wherever the municipal elections are going, the office-bearers of the AIJASS will go. They appealed to vote against the BJP candidates.

They said that BJP‘s state and central governments have reneged the Jat community three times. Neither has the reservation been given to Jats nor have their criminal cases been withdrawn yet. This is why there is so much anger among the community members, they said adding that the strategy to oppose the BJP government will be decided on December 21.
